Finally! The Rock Gives An Update On BLACK ADAM

Shazam! has hit the ground running in terms raves from critics and winning the box office on its opening weekend.  Stars have come out the wood works to congratulate Zachary Levi and cast on their DC hit.  From Gal Gadot to Jason Momoa, they have all shown support but the biggest one of all has come from Black Adam himself, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.  He took to Instagram to not only congratulate Levi for his success but also thank fans for their support of the film.  The Rock was not done there; he also gave fans a long-awaited update on his film for Black Adam.

“For those who know the comic books and who know the mythology of Shazam, Shazam is connected to Black Adam. Black Adam is an antihero or villain, who I can not wait to play. I’ve been developing this, and it’s been with me in my DNA, for over ten years now. We should start shooting that in about a year. I’m very excited about that.”

Fans (including myself) have been wondering if the film is even still happening, which was a major concern because lets face it The Rock is a must see regardless of the film.  Finally, seeing him in a super hero film as the leading role should be amazing for DC and with his track record, it should also bring in an enormous amount of cash. If that wasn’t enough for DC fans then The Rock also added the comment below to stir the pot.

“I can’t wait to play Black Adam, because they’re all getting their a***s kicked when I play Black Adam. That day of reckoning is coming for everyone.”

There are two pieces that should be taken in here.  One, The Rock is still Black Adam and two; he is more than ready to kick some ass within the DCEU.  So, how much of my money does DC need in order to ensure that we will one day see Black Adam up against Shazam! and Superman on the big screen?  That would be a clash for the ages and a huge move for DCEU.

What did you think of The Rock’s comments?
