RTF: Year One- ‘The Snyder Cut Files’
To mark the first anniversary of Revenge of The Fans, we’ll be publishing a few volumes today; Posts that chronologically walk you through all of the significant reporting we’ve done on a specific project/situation. If you’re here, that means you’re here to do some serious reading up on the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
“The funny thing, for me, about the Snyder Cut is that it’s become this mythical unicorn…yet we’ve known of its existence from the moment Zack Snyder stepped away from Justice League. It was made clear by The Hollywood Reporter during their exclusive announcement of his departure- which Zack Snyder and the studio participated in- that he had already completed and screened a rough cut of the film.
So, in my eyes, the question should’ve never, ever been “Does it exist?” Cause, clearly, it does. The question that should’ve been asked from the outset was, “Does Warner Bros. have any desire to either complete it and release it or to release the unfinished rough cut as a treat for fans?” That is the question, and the real situation.
Regardless, the debate raged on all year and I chimed in once in a while just to try and get everyone to see the true core issue.
Here, you’ll also see some passionate pleas for the Snyder Cut from members of the RTF community.
