Marvel, MCU, Movies, News, Rumors

While the future of the MCU is up in the air due to the events of Avenger: Infinity War, one of the sure things was Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3., but with the James Gunn debacle of 2018, that became one of the unsure things too. Rest assured though, Marvel honcho Kevin Feige said it will happen….eventually.

Guardians will happen. When, where, how? For a later time.”

Kevin Feige said that in an interview to MTV at the Golden Globes last night (he was there because Black Panther was nominated), where he talked about Guardians, Avengers: Endgame and more. You can watch it below.

The two most interesting things to me are that they knew the subtitle to Avengers 4 was always going to be Endgame, which is why they had Doctor Strange say it in the flick. There were rumors they were choosing between that, Annihilation, and some other things, but unless Feige was flat out lying, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

The other thing Feige discussed is what will make up the promotional material for Avengers: Endgame. MTV asked if it’s accurate that the promotional material will only come from the first 10-15 minutes of the film, and Feige’s answer is pretty interesting:

“I’d call it somewhat accurate. As was the case with a lot of our films, this one in particular, being able to generate a lot of excitement without giving away one of the many, many, many secrets. I think the Disney marketing team is the best in the world and we’ll be able to pull it off.”

As you can see in the video above, he stresses the many. While people who search for that kind of stuff can find out some of the secrets of the movie, I am willing to be there are things we don’t know. Maybe some Red-Skull-In-Infinity-War level stuff. Feige is right in saying the Disney marketing team is the best in the world. Second best isn’t even close to the promotion machine they’ve created.

Feige also reiterates his excitement to get his hands on some of the Fox properties of which there are “hundreds.”

Like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, promotion for Endgame isn’t really needed. No, scratch that. They still need to promote it to let your parents know when it comes out, but no matter what is shown in the previews, people are buying tickets regardless. So show us nothing please, Marvel, because I will consume anything you put out there. I am too weak not to.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26. We have Captain Marvel before that, and Guardians 3 eventually.
