GLASS Will Use Never Before Seen Footage From UNBREAKABLE

Every year when I make my list of movies I am most excited for, movies in January never make the list. That changed this year, since M Night. Shyamalan’s conclusion to the Unbreakable trilogy is coming out in less than two weeks.

Unbreakable was made all the way back in 2000, and nothing was seen of that universe until 2016’s Split, which on the surface seemed unconnected. Now the culmination of those two will stories will happen in Glass.

In an interview with Fandango, Shyamalan reveals that we will see previously unseen footage from Unbreakable.

Thanks to for the quote:

“I don’t want to give too much away, but you do see moments from the original Unbreakable. Scenes you didn’t get to see. You’ll see the same actor change, you know, 18 years on camera in front of you which is really powerful.”

The movie is set a few weeks after the events of Glass. Another interesting thing mentioned here is that we will get to see even more personalities from James McAvoy. His character has 24 (including the Beast) but in Split we only got to see about 11. This time around we will see 20.

You still have some time to rewatch Unbreakable and Split before Glass comes out January 18th.

From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast. Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
