Renner Looks Worse For Wear As Hawkeye In New Pic From Set of AVENGERS 4
There’s a new pic of Jeremy Renner from the set of Avengers 4, which you can see below. But let’s talk about the journey of Hawkeye first.
Does anyone else feel bad for the guy? He was introduced via a two minute cameo in Thor and we didn’t get to see him again until The Avengers, at which point he is almost immediately put under Loki’s spell and basically is a bad guy until Black Widow gives him a “cognitive recalibration” to start the third act.
When Avengers: Age of Ultron rolled around Renner told Joss Whedon he wanted to delve deeper into who Clint “Hawkeye” Barton is, so we found out he is married with two kids and another on the way, but fans didn’t really take to that aspect of the character. His next appearance was in Captain America: Civil War in what amounted to an extended cameo. When it came time for Avengers: Infinity War he was nowhere to be seen…
Wait, what? The world is at risk and Hawkeye can’t even bother to call Cap and see if he needs a hand? I mean, dude left his family to fight Tony Stark, but he can’t pop out for a few minutes to help stop the Mad Titan? Not that he could have done much. Let’s face it, if Thanos can lay a smack down on Steve Rogers, Hawkeye doesn’t stand a chance. Still, his bow and arrow would have come in handy during the battle in Wakanda… but I digress. All this preamble is leading into some Avengers 4 news, because Hawkeye will be there this time, and apparently he has a very good reason for ditching his buddies the first time around.
He also looks like he’s had a rough paper route. Don’t believe me? Check out this pic Renner posted on his Instagram:

Bruised, but definitely not beaten, Clint looks like he could fight the good fight all day, which he most likely will have to do.
Are you excited to see Hawkeye return in Avengers 4? Do you hope that’s the title Marvel chooses as much as I do? Where do you think Clint was during Infinity War? Let us know below.
