ARROW: Stephen Amell Teases Someone Being In A Superhero Suit “For The First Time”

When it comes to Arrow and the Arrowverse as a whole, there is no shortage of spandex suits. Everyone suits up in one way or another. Heroes have come and gone, but according to Arrow star Stephen Amell, it is still entertaining to watch someone suit up for the first time.

Amell tweeted that out last night, and it caused massive speculation as to who he could be talking about.

The natural conclusion was Ruby Rose as Batwoman. But the crossover doesn’t begin to film for a while yet. However it is not out of the realm of possibility that the Arrowverse shows tease Batwoman before that happens. Also, it could be something like a camera test for Rose in the suit or something like that.

On the other hand it could be someone else. Mostly everyone on Arrow, including Felicity (though it was for an episode of Legends of Tomorrow) has had a super suit.

Felicity Smoak

Paul Blackthorne is no longer with the show, so it is not him either. Could it be Oliver’s son William? That could be interesting or a complete disaster. The other person that comes to mind is Diggle’s wife Lyla. But outside of William and Lyla, no regular or recurring person hasn’t had a suit yet.

Of course, it could be someone just getting a new/updated suit. After all, Colton Haynes is returning to the show full time, and he could get an updated suit. The “Arsenal/Red Arrow” one is due for an upgrade. Or it could be the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance. While Katie Cassidy has been in a suit before, that version of the character didn’t have a superhero suit. It is a technicality, but Amell is tricky.

“Superhero” could be a generic term for spandex, and it could be a villain. The Longbow Hunters were teased by Ricardo Diaz last season. It could be them that Amell is referring to.

We will find out in due time.

Who do you think it is?

The seventh season of Arrow premieres Monday, October 15 on The CW.

“There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.”
