Jeph Loeb Confirms IRON FIST Season 2 Will Be Released In 2018

Iron Fist is making his way back to Netflix sometime later in the year, according to the head of Marvel Television and legendary comic writer Jeph Loeb. In a recent AMA on Reddit, Loeb responded to a question asked about the show by user /u/DeusXVentus with, “You’ll be very happy with Season 2 coming this year!

Fans of the show previously were speculating that the second season of Iron Fist wouldn’t be released until sometime in 2019. However, considering that production on the show wrapped a few weeks ago and possibly ahead of schedule, it seems likely that the new season will be released before Netflix subscribers will see the third season of Daredevil.

Fans of the comic version of Iron Fist are hoping that the second season will result in the protagonist finally donning his costume from the comics. To date, Daredevil is the only character from the Netflix Marvel shows to don a proper superhero outfit- all of the other heroes and villains have strictly worn regular attire.

I can’t personally say much on the matter. I’ve only ever watched the two seasons of Daredevil and caught little glimpses here and there for the other Marvel shows on Netflix, including Iron Fist. I know that the show is typically seen as one of the weaker entries, but I hope for its fans that Season 2 will end up being seen an improvement for the character.

But what do you all think? Are you excited to see the second season of Iron Fist? Were you a fan of the first season? Whatever your thoughts may be, be sure to share them with us down in the comments section below!
