IT: CHAPTER 2: SINISTER’S James Ransone to Play Adult Eddie
With the It: Chapter 2 shooting date getting closer, the cast who will play the adult versions of the members of the Losers’ Club is looking stronger.
Last night, Sinister‘s James Ransone took to his Twitter account (which is set to private) to say that he has been cast to play the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak in the upcoming sequel. Jack Dylan Grazer played the kid version of Eddie in the previous film.
Ransone will join Jessica Chastain as the grown-up Beverly Marsh, while James McAvoy and Bill Hader are currently in talks to play Bill Denborough and Richie Tozier respectively. The film, based on the second half of Stephen King’s novel, will see the grown-ups Losers’ Club return to Derry, Maine after nearly 30 years to finish their fight with Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise.
The casting for the film continues to be on point as Ransone looks just like Grazer. Ransone is indeed correct that he has some big shoes to fill (both literally and figuratively), as Grazer’s Eddie was one of the highlights of the first It film.
The first It was a financial and critic smash for Warner Bros. and New Line, pulling in over $700 million worldwide last fall, and is among one of the most anticipated films of 2019. If It: Chapter 2 can live up to the lofty expectations of its predecessor, horror fans will be in for a treat next fall.
It: Chapter 2 will float to theaters on September 6, 2019.
