The movie hits keep rolling as comic book movies are going to bombard fans this summer, smashing the box office Hulk style. We all know that Avengers: Infinity War is what has the masses salivating and chomping at the bits in anticipation for but there is another film coming to theaters, just weeks after Thanos puts the earth in imminent doom, of we are talking about the Deadpool 2 movie that will star Ryan Reynolds as the merc with the mouth once again. This time he has a team with him, X-Force, and will showcase Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead once again as the reluctant left overs of the X mansion who help him on his mission.
The director of the May 18th movie, David Leitch, sat with Fandango to point out what will make Deadpool 2 different from the first one and a hint of what awaits us opening day:
“We wanted to make sure that it was worthy of a summer tentpole movie, and we knew we were going to be wedged in between some big films. We did our best to expand the action, and in a general sense, just make it bigger. In terms of the tone, and the fun and the DNA of a Deadpool movie, you’re going to get everything you expect and more.”
So it just seems that they want to go bigger and really take everything that worked in the first and kick it up to the next level.
With Deadpool 2 arriving between Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story, there is heavy competition for those ticket dollars but there is a sense of confidence that the raisin assassin will hold his ground with the big boys, though there was never any doubt among Wade Wilson fans.
