Marvel’s Black Panther is currently on the run of a lifetime at the box office.
The Ryan Coogler-directed film has already amassed $235 million in the US in just its first four days of release and is currently sitting at $404 million worldwide. Disney CEO Robert Iger took to his Twitter account to comment on the film’s early success.
The world has embraced Black Panther, which has obliterated expectations, broken records & shattered myths. Powerful storytelling that
touches hearts, bridges cultures, opens minds. Grateful to @Marvelstudios, #RyanCoogler & the cast and crew. #BlackPanther #WakandaForever— Robert Iger (@RobertIger) February 20, 2018
The world has indeed embraced Black Panther. The film has already broken box office records with the highest President’s Day weekend opening ever and is sitting just behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the list of highest four-day totals. The film also has an A+ rating on CinemaScore and is currently sitting at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
It seems the sky is the limit for the King of Wakanda.
Have you embraced Black Panther yet?
