Evans Feeling Awfully Confident About AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and Marvel

The arrival of the New Year brings us closer to the release of the superhero team up we all have been waiting for since Hulk manhandled Loki. We always knew there was a bigger, badder, and more vicious villain that was coming for The Avengers and on May 4th, Thanos will come to begin his conquest for power in Avengers: Infinity War.

There is little chance you will find many fans who ae disappointed with what the MCU has produced over the past decade, which is not to say it is without some films that did not quite hit the mark, but overall there nothing but top films Marvel Studios has put on the screen for the enjoyment of movie goers everywhere. With such a large cast that combines even more characters across the Marvel Universe than any of the Avenger movies have done so far, one could be slightly concerned that maybe Joe and Anthony Russo bit off more than they could chew, but Chris Evans at Ace Comic –Con, attended by ComicBook, expressed huge confidence in the upcoming film and in  Marvel Studios itself, him being someone who has been a part of the success of the growing comic book movie empire with his Captain America films that have always received high marks and the Avenger films he has teamed up in with similar results. As shared in Screenrant, Chris Evans words solidified the actor’s trust and excitement about being in these next two Avengers movies:

“….the first few movies it’s almost like it’s happening to somebody else. You kind of feel like you’re watching it happen, but you’re not actually a part of it. This was kind of the first movie where you actually felt like you had a seat at the table and you belonged and it was so nice to have all these other franchises that you’ve watched and admired come to a set where you’re like oh man, I belong here, and all these great people are part of a movie that we’re all doing together, and it was just wonderful because all of those franchises, well, let’s be honest. Marvel doesn’t miss. They haven’t missed yet. They’re batting a thousand.”

There is no argument against this, and if so, simply look back at the gross each movie has made and you will see the Captain is speaking as true American as he can. With that said, fans have taken notice that each movie has been an attempt to aim higher and be just one step ahead of the previous film. With Marvel including more and more characters into its MCU productions there is always a chance of there just being too many characters on screen and the story suffering from a cluttered cast, even with the high level of success Marvel Studios has been achieving with each group film. Even with those fears, Avengers: Infinity War is riding off the trust from great results and looks to be another stud in the stable of box office smashing films Marvel Studios has ready to go.
